Privacy Policy


Mummy Care is compliant with GDPR for all client data held on record. The following shows and explains how and why information is collected, how it is used and sorted and how long I have to keep this for.

Law

I am required by law to collect data for yourself or your baby to carry out the requested service/treatment or class, to ensure the full safety of yourself and your family. Failure to provide this information could result in me not being able to carry out a treatment/class or service as needed.

Data Protection

Your data is protected by security measures; this ensures that your data is not lost or accessed by anyone outside of myself (unless agreed for the various treatments or programmes). Some treatments and services may need a referral to a doctor, midwife or screening coach. You will be fully consulted before this takes place and you will know who your information is going to, why this is needed and any outcome information to support you being able to move forward in classes/treatments.

Access

Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage

How was this data collected? Directly from the client, prior to her first treatment.

Personal Data. What data are you collecting? Name, surname, date of birth, contact details and medical history.

Why are you collecting this data? To ensure each treatment is suitable and safe for the client on visiting Mummy Care.

Handling - explain how you will store information, how it will be used and who will see it: Information will be stored in my password-protected Google Drive. The information is only used by myself to ensure I can safely carry out the treatment. In the event of a referral, a doctor or midwife’s guidance may be needed. Full confirmation from the client would be needed to write to the healthcare professional to gain guidance or approval to continue with any treatment.

When is this data disposed? Data for massage and treatments will be stored for 7 years.

Baby Massage Classes

How was this data collected? Information collected from parents prior to their first baby massage class.

Personal Data. What data are you collecting? Parent and baby’s name, address, email and phone number, medical status and any health concerns, allergies and food intolerances.

Why are you collecting this data? To ensure all classes are delivered safely in accordance with parents and baby’s needs. To be able to provide a safe and effective service while in a class and while on a course or block booking.

Handling - explain how you will store information, how it will be used and who will see it: Information will be stored in my password-protected Google Drive. I am the only person who can see and access these documents.

When is this data disposed? Parent information is to be kept for 7 years, however baby information is to be kept for 10 years from the day they turn 18 years old.
